Oral Genome, in partnership with Global Group, Inc., is launching a new initiative to address global oral health disparities through cutting-edge technology. The program, “Bridging Oral Health Disparities: A Global Partnership for Equitable Care,” will focus on underserved regions in the U.S., EMEA, South Asia, and Central Asia.
The initiative utilizes Oral Genome’s Salivary Test Kit and mobile health application to assess risks for dental caries, periodontal disease, and diabetes, enhancing early detection and treatment. CEO of Global Group, Shaun Gause, emphasized that the project represents a pivotal step toward making quality preventive care accessible to all.
Key objectives include collaborating with safety net sites, expanding at-home testing, and analyzing data to understand how oral health impacts overall health. The pilot will also create educational resources and host workshops to engage communities.
Over the next 12 months, the program will build scalable models to reduce oral health disparities and lay the groundwork for future projects, including GGI’s upcoming Diverse Data Network, aimed at improving global healthcare collaboration and research.
