The energy drink market is, to put it mildly, very crowded. There are near-limitless options on the market, and competition is fierce. Brands have a lot of pressure to one-up each other, pushing formulas to the extreme. That’s why we’re routinely seeing 300+ milligrams of caffeine in energy drinks, which is the equivalent of four cups of coffee.
What if we don’t want to go full tweaker-mode, though? What if what we want is a nice, smooth, energy boost that doesn’t give us the shakes?
This premise is why BUM Energy was made. Its simplistic formula is refreshing – just like the flavors.
BUM Energy: Blueberry Lemonade
When RAW first released BUM Energy, we were ecstatic about its two-active-ingredient formula. Made with Cognizin and natural caffeine, there’s little risk of unwanted effects and synergies.
Since then, RAW has released a solid catalog of delicious flavors, ranging from Citrus Burst to Pink Lemonade, the most recent release which launched last month. Today, the new flavor is another color of lemonade: Blueberry Lemonade.
We’re going to dive into a little summary on how BUM Energy works, but first, let’s check PricePlow for good RAW deals, and check out our video review of the new flavor:

BUM Energy – How It Works
BUM Energy is simple. It has just two main ingredients: Cognizin and natural caffeine.
Cognizin® Citicoline is a highly bioavailable form of choline from Kyowa Hakko. Choline plays a crucial role in maintaining and repairing cell membranes throughout the body, and it serves as a precursor to acetylcholine, a neurotransmitter associated with learning and memory. Research on citicoline has shown that it can enhance focus, attention, and mental clarity by improving cerebral blood flow and supporting mitochondrial function.
The other main ingredient is natural caffeine, with each can containing 112 milligrams, equivalent to about one cup of coffee. Unlike many energy drinks that rely on synthetic caffeine, which can cause unwanted side effects like jitters and anxiety, BUM Energy sources its caffeine naturally from coffee beans. Caffeine helps block adenosine receptors, which delays the onset of fatigue, and also prevents the breakdown of cAMP, a molecule involved in energy production.
With its moderate caffeine content, BUM Energy offers a balanced energy boost without the risk of over-caffeination or a harsh crash, making it an excellent choice for those looking for a milder, steady lift in energy.

An energy drink to enjoy for its own sake
Energy drinks are great for when you need a little pick-me-up to meet that deadline or hit your new one-rep-max. In this way, they have received a reputation for having a primarily utilitarian value.
BUM Energy is proof that energy drinks can be enjoyed for their own sake. It offers a cool, refreshing alternative to coffee, and it doesn’t come with all the jitters, anxiety, and other baggage that many options on the market do.
So crack open a can of Blueberry Lemonade, and enjoy the last hot days of the year with a bit more energy and a bit more focus.
