Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. pressed the country’s leading infant formula makers on their product ingredients, their European competition, and the general state of the industry at a meeting on Tuesday.
The secretary met with executives from Abbott, Reckitt Benckiser, Bobbie, and Perrigo, according to a picture posted by the health department on X. Bloomberg first reported the meeting.
“As the only insurgent brand included, we were proud to be a part of this morning’s conversation,” Bobbie CEO Laura Modi told STAT. “We know that a fresh perspective — and a mother’s perspective — should always have a seat at the table.”
