Increasing use of AR-based surgical navigation in Thailand

Taiwan-based medtech company SURGLASSES has announced the recent implementations of its augmented reality-based surgical navigation system in Thailand.

Thailand Veterans General Hospital and Chulalongkorn Hospital conducted their first AR-guided surgeries using the Caduceus S system.

Designed for spine surgery, the SURGLASSES system provides surgeons with 3D visualisation capabilities to view the patient’s internal anatomical structures, including bones, tissues, and organs, during procedures. Besides being cleared in both Taiwan and the United States, the surgical navigation system has also been approved in Thailand.

Mayo Clinic to support clinical application of Taiwanese imaging AI

Another Taiwanese company, JelloX Biotech, will be collaborating with Mayo Clinic to bring its AI imaging solution for cancer diagnosis support to research and clinical practice.

Based on a media release, the organisations signed a know-how agreement to further develop and validate JelloX’s technology. The startup offers a 3D pathology imaging solution that uses AI to provide spatial analysis of cancer tissue images.

Korean EHR system integrates predictive AI

ezCaretech, one of South Korea’s biggest EHR system vendors, has entered into an integration partnership with medical AI company AITRICS.

Under their memorandum of understanding, the companies plan to integrate the AITRICS Vital Care software into ezCaretech’s EHR system. The AI solution predicts patient deterioration, enabling early interventions and supporting decision-making.

According to a media release, they already tested and verified their technology integration early this year.
